Tiger Scholar of November

By Katlyn LaPorte

Ella Norman

The student of the month for November is senior Ella Norman.

Norman was born on June 10, 1998. Her family consists of her, her mom Maret and her dad Ned. She also has two cats named Miso and Cricket.

Throughout high school, Norman has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Her favorite subjects are english and psychology. She is not positive yet about where she wants to attend college but she is looking into attending either the University of South Dakota or Kansas State University.

For the future, Norman’s goals include dedicating her life to helping people, especially kids. She also hopes to make this world easier for those who deserve it.

“In 10 years I see myself somewhat settled down somewhere, starting my career and building a family and community,” says Norman.

Norman also participates in the band, playing percussion. Her favorite high school memories are playing at the basketball games with the band.

If she could give any advice to the underclassmen, it would be to take classes at NJC their junior and senior year if it is possible for their schedule/plan.

Norman’s biggest role model is her mom.

Norman loves reading and photography; those are her two favorite hobbies. Her favorite book is The Secret Life of Bees and her favorite movie is The Book Thief.

“My all-time favorite class was sociology with Ms. Berns because it was extremely interesting and not stressful at all,” said Norman.

The teacher she has had that has made the most impact on her was Miss Luck her junior year.

Norman’s motto for high school and for life is, “Fake it til’ you make it.”

“I would have to give a shout out to Cyntera May and Mileena Borges for keeping me sane throughout all of these years and always making me laugh,” said Norman.
